We totally get it, finding the funds to refresh your website and boost your business is not easy. Good news! The Business Basics Grant Program has opened up for Round 3 and we’re here to help our local business owners submit their applications.
The Business Basics Grants Program provides $5,000 (GST Exc) of funding to South East Queensland Businesses for support to increase core skills and adopt best business practices. There are 5 categories that you can apply for, which are listed below:
Training and Coaching;
Website build or upgrades;
Professional Business Advice;
Strategic Marketing Services; or
Business Continuity and Succession.
How it works:
You do have to meet some requirements in order to apply, these are as follows:
Fewer than 20 employees.
Have an active ABN.
Be GST Registered.
Have a QLD headquarters and an operating QLD business address.
Have expected turnover of $300,000 or less for the 2022 FY.
Not have previously been approved for an earlier round of Business Basics Grants.
Owners/Directors cannot be undischarged bankrupts; and the business must be solvent.

What you will need to do to apply:
Have us prepare a profit and loss statement
Complete an Application form.
Complete a statutory declaration (we can witness this).
Obtain a quote from us, to include with the application.
When to Apply:
The Business Basics Grant opens for applications on the 4th of May 2022 at 9am.
As there are only limited grants awarded, they do go very quickly so you would need to be ready to apply at the time of opening. To give you an idea, previous grants have been filled within 30 minutes of the grant opening.
Previously, we have seen clients that have all their documentation ready and apply at the time of opening have been successful in being awarded the grant.
